A daily average of 35 pairs of high-speed trains respectively transported 64,000, 68,000 and 74,000 passengers via the China-Laos railway from Jan. 25 to Jan. 27, which has reported records for constant 3 days and presented the best performance since its operation.

As China has optimized COVID-19 control measures, abundant tourism resources along the China-Laos Railway have attracted lots of people traveling and visiting families.

The Fuxing and Lancang high-speed trains are safe, green, fast and comfortable, which are favored by Chinese and Lao people and have become popular choices for traveling. Because the China-Laos Railway has greatly shortened the space-time distance between cities along the railway, there are more and more tourists taking high-speed trains on the China-Laos Railway to experience natural scenery and local customs along the line. In China’s section of the railway, it takes only a minimum of 3 hours to reach nature reserves and tourist attractions such as Xishuangbanna, wild elephant valley and Ganlanba from Kunming. In Laos’ section, you can get to Wat That Luang and Patuxay in only half an hour when getting off trains from Vientiane station and Luang Prabang station.
