According to the China-Laos Mohan-Boten Economic Cooperation Zone between China and Laos (hereinafter referred to as the cooperation zone), since Kunming City was granted trusteeship over Mohan Town in Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture, the cooperation Zone has newly increased 135 market entities and plans to complete an investment of 1.69 billion yuan in 2022.
According to the requirements of the CPC Yunnan Provincial Committee, the Yunnan Provincial Government, the CPC Kunming Municipal Committee, and the Kunming Municipal Government, the cooperation zone increases efforts to attract investment and construct projects, and actively raises funds to ensure steady progress in all the work. In the fourth quarter of this year, 13 projects started in the cooperation zone, with a total investment of 38.23 billion yuan. In 2022, it plans to complete an investment of 1.69 billion yuan, including an industrial project, a project on agriculture, forestry, and water conservancy, 6 municipal infrastructure projects, 4 port supporting facilities projects and a commercial supporting facilities project.
As of now, the cooperation zone has integrated the funds of 150 million yuan and improved all kinds of infrastructures; actively interfaced with clients and attracted investments, received a total of 420 people from 105 enterprises that came to invest and inspect, and 14 key leading enterprises such as China International Marine Containers (Group) Co., Ltd (CIMC), Fujian Metallurgical Holding Co., Ltd (Fujian Yejin) and Xiamen Tungsten Co., Ltd. (XTC). had preliminary intentions to invest in the cooperation zone.
