Letters of thanks from Korean friends to Yunnan

The ROK side received medical supplies donated by Yunnan (provided by Yunnan People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries)

Recently, South Korea's Chungcheongnam-do (충청남도), Incheon (인천), Jeollabuk-do (전라북도) and other provinces that have established friendly exchanges and cooperation with Yunnan province sent letters of thanks to Yunnan, after they received the medical aid from it.  

After receiving the medical supplies, Liang Chengchao, the magistrate of Chungcheongnam-do, sent a thank-you note to Yunnan in the first time. The letter says that the timely assistance from Yunnan has made a great contribution to their province’s battle against COVID-19, which fully interprets the meaning of “A friend in need is a friend indeed.”

Another letter of thanks from Incheon introduces the city's efforts in fighting the pandemic, expressing the mayor’s deep gratitude to Yunnan for offering a helping hand when Yunnan is suffering from the same pandemic. “It is deeply moving that Yunnan and Incheon can help each other when facing difficulties. The most precious anti-epidemic supplies of masks donated by Yunnan have moved every Incheon’s citizen. We sincerely hope that the pandemic will end soon, and our city and Yunnan could further develop exchanges and cooperation, creating a better future together,” mayor Piao Nanchun said. 

Except Chungcheongnam-do and Incheon, Jeonra Puk To also sent a message of thanks together with photos of receiving aid to Yunnan on the noon when the medical supplies arrived Red Cross of Jeonra Puk To. “Medical aid from Yunnan plays an important role in helping Jeonra Puk To prevent and control the pandemic. It is believed that the friendship between us will be deepened after the war against novel coronavirus. ”

Since 2009, Yunnan province has successively established friendly exchange and cooperation relations with Jeonra Puk To, Chungcheongnam-do and Incheon, and actively carried out pragmatic exchanges and cooperation in different fields.
