Eleventh “Chinese Bridge” Chinese Proficiency Competition ends in Kunming

[InKunming--KunmingThe 11th “Chinese Bridge” Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreign Middle School Students ended in Kunming on October 21.

A closing ceremony for the competition was held at Kunming No. 3 Middle School on the day. 

Ma Jianfei, a leader of Confucius Institute, Chen Shun, Mr Chen Shun, Vice Governor of Yunnan Province, and Xu Bin, vice chairman of the Yunnan Provincial CPPCC(Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference) attended the ceremony. 

Participants from 99 foreign countries signed up for the competition. The participants’ Chinese language proficiency level, cultural knowledge of China, and artistic talents were examined one by one during the competition.

Participants from North Korea won the first prize at the end of the competition.

After the competition, all foreign participants were invited to visit some scenic spots of Kunming, deepening their impression on Kunming, Yunnan and China.

Central Confucius Institute, Yunnan Provincial Government together organized the competition. Yunnan Provincial Education Department, Yunnan Normal University and Yunnan TV Group undertook the activity.
