"Thousands of households light the auspicious flames, people from different ethnic groups celebrate the Torch Festival together." As August arrives, the people of Yunnan eagerly await the annual "carnival" known as the Torch Festival. On August 9th, Kunming Information Hub has invited Sazal Ahmed from Bangladesh to host a live broadcast of the Torch Festival in Gaopo Community, Ala Sub-district, showcasing the special excitement and enthusiasm of Yunnan's Torch Festival to global audience.
It is understood that Ala Sub-district, as the sole settlement area of the Yi ethnic group's Samei people in the country, during the festival, the local community will perform their music and dance, as well as showcasing intangible cultural heritage such as Yi embroidery and paper cutting, offering a window to show the charm of Samei culture.

The live broadcast event will be divided into two parts. From 16:00-17:00 on the 9th, Sazal will broadcast his a tour of the folk street and the vintage garden party, then experience traditional Samei cultural activities such as pounding glutinous rice cakes (a traditional Chinese food), and making embroidery. From 19:00-20:00, Sazal will share the Torch Festival experience with the audience through a live broadcast. Just open your computer or mobile phone, you can immerse yourself in this local cultural feast, feeling the liveliness and happiness of the Torch Festival.
This live broadcast will be simultaneously aired on Kunming Information Hub's official WeChat video platform, X (Twitter), and YouTube official accounts, enabling audiences from home and abroad to know and watch the spectacular scene of Yunnan's Torch Festival without leaving their homes.
