The 2012 Chuxiong Torch Festival,with the theme of "fire carnival", will be kicked off on August 11 in Chuxiong Yi Autonomous Prefecture, southwest China's Yunnan Province, in which more than 30 activities has been arranged for people.

Various activities, such as folk song and dance, exhibitions of Yi embroidery and art works, square performance, wrestling and boxing competition, campfire carnival, fireworks show,etc, are going to be held until August 19.

In addition, commodity fairs of local (and) special products, folk crafts, jade and investment promotion conference will also be organized during the festival. (Editors:Hysung, Minnie Mao)
