On Nov. 15, “Yunnan Talent Week” was launched and Yunnan Provincial Talent Service Workstation (2nd phase) was inaugurated at Kunming Area of China (Yunnan) Pilot Free Trade Zone (Kunming Jingkai Area).

Zhang Jintao, the party member and deputy director of Department of Human Resources and Social Security of Yunnan Province, Gan Tianwen, the party member of Department of Human Resources and Social Security of Yunnan Province, and Tang Qi, the deputy director of Organization Department of Kunming Municipal Party Committee, the party secretary and director of Municipal Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security attended the launching ceremony together with Li Heliu, the director of Management Committee of Kunming Area of China (Yunnan) Pilot FTZ.

Li said in his speech that Kunming Area of China (Yunnan) Pilot FTZ is the the main platform of economic construction, the window of opening to the outside world in Yunnan Province and the intersection center of economy, trade and talents. Department of Human Resources and Social Security of Yunnan Province therefore conferred “Yunnan Provincial Talent Service Workstation ” plate on Kunming Area. This is an effective move to implement “strengthening the province with talents”. Kunming Area will continue to adhere to the development strategy of giving priority to talents, to give full play to the bridge role of "workstation" as well a platform for all kinds of innovative and entrepreneurial talents to show their talents and realize their dreams. This "workstation" will be established as a gathering place and reserve place for high-end talents to further expand the talent gathering effect and highlight the development of talent service, and to highlight the great advantages of talents in serving, supporting and leading development. Kunming Area will be built into a demonstration area and a new highland with excellent talent policies, active talent exchanges and high concentration of talents in Yunnan province.

At the ceremony, Department of Human Resources and Social Security of Yunnan Province conferred the plates on talent service workstations in Kunming, Qujing, Yuxi on the prefecture and city level. Meanwhile, the rest of prefecture and city human resources and social security bureaus attended the ceremony online. Kunming Human Resources and Social Security Bureau opened high level talent service windows and conferred the plate on Kunming Area of China (Yunnan) Pilot FTZ (Kunming Jingkai Area) .

Thereafter, the relevant people made exchange speeches respectively, which provided an important reference for further improving the talent work mechanism and promoting the quality and efficiency of talent work in the future.

Zhang Jintao stressed that holding the "Yunnan Talent Week" event and granting the “Yunnan Provincial Talent Service Workstation” plate, are a pragmatic move to study and implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech at a central conference on talent-related work. This is also a progressive move of the provincial party committee and provincial government to accelerate the construction of a regional highland for the development of innovative talents and promote the realization of high-quality leaping development. This move is significant in terms of focusing on improving the competitiveness of talent work, condensing the centripetal force of talent resources, paying attention to respecting, caring for and sincerely serving talents. It is imperative to thoroughly implement the strategy of "strengthening the province with talents", vigorously promote the style of practical, loving, respecting and using talents, sincerely care for and love talents, make achievement, gather talents from all over the world, and make new and greater contributions to writing the Yunnan chapter of the Chinese dream.  

After the ceremony, the leaders and guests who participated the event observed the comprehensive service center, talent service workstation and talent apartment in Kunming Area, learned preferential policies and service supporting facilities, and praised the talent work in Kunming Area.
