Seize RCEP opportunity, Kunming Area participated Practical Case Exchange Meeting of Ministry of Commerce

Recently, the Kunming Area of China (Yunnan) Pilot Free Trade Zone (Kunming Economic and Technological Development Zone) organized relevant staff of all departments to participate in the "Exchange Meeting of RCEP Economic and Trade Cooperation & Innovation and Practice Case of the Pilot Free Trade Zone".

The Exchange Meeting focused on the thinking on deepening the opening of service industry in pilot free trade zones based on international service trade and investment rules, the high-quality development of China’s free trade ports and free trade zones under the RCEP, and the innovative development practices and cases of cross-border e-commerce in free trade zones (comprehensive bonded zones) under the RCEP background. Round Table Dialogues based on three themes were also organized. The themes were collaborative development and differentiated innovation in the pilot free trade zones, how to use cross-border e-commerce to exploit the international market, and intellectual property protection and enterprise compliance under the RCEP.

Through introducing the progress of Shandong RCEP Economic and Trade Cooperation Pilot Zone, the innovative development of cross-border e-commerce in free trade zones (comprehensive bonded zones), the progress of system innovation, key cases of institutional innovation and so on, the meeting enabled the participants to deepen their understanding of the RCEP economic and trade cooperation and the innovation and practice cases of pilot free trade zones.

In the future, the Kunming Area of China (Yunnan) Pilot Free Trade Zone (Kunming Economic and Technological Development Zone) will continue to improve the industrial chain, enhance the vitality of trade and economy, magnify the effect of resource aggregation, and explore new models of social and economic development in border areas.
