On January 26, passenger services officially began at Yangzong Station on the Yungui High-Speed Railway. Six passenger trains stop at the station each day, with services scheduled throughout the day.The fastest journey from Yangzong Station to Kunming South Station takes just 10 minutes, about 35 minutes to Kunming Station, around 1.5 hours to Honghe Station and roughly 8.5 hours to Guangzhou South. The new station will better meet the travel needs of local residents and make it more convenient for visitors to reach the Yangzonghai Scenic Area in Kunming.

To enable smooth rail-to-bus transfers, local transport authorities have launched a dedicated shuttle bus route linking Yangzong Station with Yangzonghai Tourist Resort. The route connects major cultural and scenic attractions like Minghu Wetland Park, addressing the so-called “last‑mile” connectivity issue for travelers.

With the official opening of Yangzong Station on the Yungui High-Speed Railway, Yangzonghai can now be reached directly from Kunming South in just 10 minutes, injecting fresh momentum into regional development. As one of China’s first batch of national-level tourist resorts and a key cultural and tourism zone prioritized by provincial and municipal authorities, the opening of Yangzong Station will help link scenic landscapes, cultural resources and development opportunities along the route, turning the railway into a driver of high-quality development, a catalyst for rural revitalization, and a channel for enhancing people’s sense of fulfillment.
