This event cleverly combines the modern popular IP Super Wings with traditional intangible cultural heritage, aiming to present a cultural feast for the New Year that integrates contemporary trends with traditional charm. It showcases cultural confidence and innovative vitality while offering the public a unique dual experience of audio-visual delight and cultural richness.
As a national AAAA-level scenic spot, Kunming Sunac Ocean World is an all-ages, all-weather, all-indoor family travel destination, a newly popular hotspot for visitors, and a scientific display base for aquatic organisms of the Yangtze River in China. It has also been featured in Meituan's "Baby Walking and Parent-Child Ranking" and "Couple Dating Ranking." Committed to providing tourists with a unique New Year experience, this Spring Festival, Kunming Sunac Ocean World will undergo a complete upgrade of its performances. This event will focus on koi carp, lion dances, and snake elements as key aspects of folk culture, combined with rolling lanterns, Asian conical hats, and other elements of intangible cultural heritage, along with the support of the modern popular IP Super Wings, to create an Undersea Chinese New Year Carnival. This initiative aims to enhance the dissemination of traditional folk culture while offering the public a rich and joyful experience filled with the festive spirit of the New Year.

Underwater show to celebrate Chinese New Year
Koi carp combined with the intangible cultural heritage of the Tambourine Dance — The large-scale underwater folklore dance performance "Carp Leaping over the Dragon Gate" will be spectacularly staged to welcome the Chinese New Year. This performance skillfully integrates the national intangible cultural heritage of the Tambourine Dance with mythological elements of the deep sea, showcasing the wonders of an underwater grand show through a unique artistic form. In the specially designed roles of "Deep Sea Koi Carp" and "Submarine Rui Lion," dancers adorned in koi carp tails will perform gracefully underwater. They not only exhibit exceptional dance skills but also overcome the challenges of underwater gravity and breathing, vividly demonstrating the resilience of koi carp swimming against the current and leaping over the Dragon Gate, as well as the festive atmosphere of the Rui Lion cheering for the brave. This performance beautifully interprets the auspicious symbolism of "carp leaping over the Dragon Gate," adding a distinctive elegance to the Spring Festival.
Intangible cultural heritage dance: Tambourine dance
"New Legend of the White Snake" makes a stunning debut as a tribute to the Year of the Snake, merging land and water scenes to interpret this classic love legend. Based on the ancient and beautiful Chinese love story "Legend of the White Snake," six mermaids with colorful snake tails sway underwater, as if leaping from the ancient myth. Classic characters such as Xiao Bai, Xiao Qing, and Fa Hai recount this timeless love story through superb acting and vivid reenactments, allowing visitors to traverse time and space, personally experience the deeply moving and poignant emotional journey, providing an immersive audio-visual enjoyment that transcends time.

A celebration of ocean culture interwoven with traditional and modern art is about to commence for the Spring Festival. The "Rolling Lanterns to Welcome Fortune" opening dance will showcase the unique artistic expression of rolling lanterns, as they soar and leap in the hands of the dancers, creating a play of light and shadow. Meanwhile, adding the Five Blessings puppets brings endless joy and festivity to the performance. Dressed in traditional attire and holding red envelopes, they join the rolling lantern dancers to kick off the New Year celebrations. The "Fish Lantern" parade perfectly merges traditional art with modern lighting, presenting visitors with a visual feast.
