Kunming Information Hub report (Kunming Daily chief reporter Li Sifan) : Recently, an afternoon New Year's concert was held at Lakeview Hotel Yulongwan Kunming on Egret Island. In this concert with heaven and earth as the backdrop, citizens and tourists listen to the classical melodies, bidding farewell to the old year and welcoming the New Year, while experiencing the cozy life of Spring City.

At the concert, the Kunming Nie Er Symphony Orchestra performed classic pieces such as "My Motherland and Me," "The Blue Danube Waltz," "On One Side of the Water," and "Libertango." Aunt Lv, a tourist from Hubei who is sojourning in Anning, said, "This is my first time attending a concert in nature. My body and mind are pleased when listening to the beautiful melodies, looking at the lake and mountains, and feeling the bright sunshine." In August of last year, also on Egret Island, a group of musicians held a "Very Happy Concert," which was rated by netizens as "the most relaxing, the most enjoyable, and the most liberating concert." The live broadcast reached an exposure of 190 million, with a cumulative viewership of over 40.29 million.

An increasing number of people are sojourning in Kunming due to its pleasant weather, ecology, and scenery. Kunming continues to promote the deep integration of culture and tourism to enrich the travel experience. For example, in 2024, in addition to the concerts at Lakeview Hotel Yulongwan Kunming on Egret Island, the Kunming Nie Er Symphony Orchestra also held city concerts at scenic spots, museums, airport terminals, and business districts, providing high-quality musical performances to citizens and tourists and enhancing the city’s cultural appeal.

In the pursuit of immersive experiences and lifestyle tourism, hotels are no longer just places for rest. More and more tourists are willing to explore and connect the city's natural and cultural landscapes with the city's iconic hotels. To create a core experience for "A Lifestyle Called Yunnan" and establish a world-class leisure and holiday tourism destination, Kunming has accelerated the development of high-quality hotels and Minsu (Chinese-style bed-and-breakfast establishments) brands in recent years, encouraging them to provide guests with in-depth experiences such as local culture, outdoor sports, traditional Chinese medicine, and unique cuisine. This initiative aims to attract tourists to Kunming for leisure, sightseeing, health care, and sojourning, transforming hotels and Minsu from mere "accommodations" into "micro-destinations" and becoming tourists' "home in Kunming."
