On December 16, Kunming welcomed the full bloom of winter cherry blossoms, adding a touch of warmth to the city during the winter. In particular, Doupo Village in Wuhua District, a Bai ethnic settlement, has become a stunning tableau where the blossoms contrast beautifully with the blue skies and white clouds.
Located in Xijian, Doupo Village, Xizhu Sub-district, Wuhua District, and just a 30-minute drive from downtown Kunming, the village offers an enchanting winter scene. The blooming cherry blossoms not only delight local residents but also attract visitors eager to enjoy the "exclusive romance" of winter through flower viewing and photography.
Known as Yunnan early cherry blossoms, winter cherry blossoms are a second-class protected plant species in Yunnan Province. Their bloom signals the approach of a new year and infuses Kunming’s winter with the vitality of spring. In Doupocun Village, the soft pink blossoms harmonize with the Bai ethnic charm of the village, creating a unique destination where visitors can admire natural beauty while experiencing local culture.
As the blossoms bloom, Kunming's winter becomes increasingly captivating. Residents and tourists alike flock to the cherry blossom trees in Doupocun to take photos and preserve the memory of this special winter moment.
