The 2023 Songming Flower Exhibition (September 28th - October 7th) is set to kick off, and you should not miss out on this guide to maximize your experience!

This year, the 2023 Songming Flower Exhibition will host the main venue in Yunnan's Flower Demonstration Park. Additionally, branch venues will be set up in Songyang Street, Yangqiao Street, Yanglin Town, and Niulanjiang Town.

Beyond the exquisite display of flowers, the 2023 Songming Flower Exhibition will feature a series of events, including the outdoor bazaar on the lawn, the corporate flower exhibition and flower market, and the music festival. Adding to the excitement, numerous installations such as the "City Blooms" signage invite residents and tourists to indulge in the latest floral trends.

Premium flower exhibition

Indoors, the main venue will showcase a wide array of high-end flower seeds, bulbs, and seedlings in Songming County, as well as freshly cut flowers and potted varieties. You can admire renowned orchids, flamingo lilies, and over a thousand other floral species here.

Flower market

Outdoors, more than 20 enterprises will come together to form a vibrant flower market. Each exhibition area will feature chrysanthemums, dried flowers, highland specialty products, bamboo crafts, and more.

Various Scenic Photo Spots

City memory photo spots, the “childhood kaleidoscope”, and the artistic installation called "Monet's Garden"–all set the perfect backdrop for your photos. We're just waiting for you to strike a pose!

Music festival

Event schedule: preliminaries on September 28th-29th, finals on October 1st

Multiple bands will gather at the venue for an open-air contest amid the blue sky and green grass. Let’s get loose and dance to the rhythm of music!

Outdoor bazaar on the lawn

Various market vendors have been recruited, allowing you to explore the bazaar while enjoying the camping experience.

2023 the 3rd Dongcun Farmers' Harvest Festival and the 1st Dongcun Grassland Music Festival

Dates: September 28th - October 5th

Venue: Dongcun Community, Songyang Street

With features such as grassland concerts, cultural performances, lion dances, and the exhibition of cultural and creative agricultural products, the festival will highlight Songming's customs through the “Red Culture” and local intangible cultural heritage.

Songming Happy World

Dates: September 29th - October 3rd

Venue: Entrance to Songming County

Combining parent-child entertainment and leisure activities, Songming Happy World will feature artistic performances, tea tasting, and fireworks shows at night, ensuring a joy-filled experience for children in the "Happy World."

2023 Excellent "Singing, Dancing, and Acting" Huadeng Performances

Dates: October 2nd - October 4th

Venue: Gingko Square

Huadeng enthusiasts can not miss the "Songming Huadeng" artistic performance, which not only showcases the charm of Huadeng but also displays the intangible cultural heritage of Songming.

The 4th Miao Cultural Tourism Festival

Dates: September 29th - October 2nd

Venue: Xishan Community, Dacunzi Community

Exciting activities such as hiking, bullfighting competitions, fishing, flower exhibitions, and bonfire parties highlight the rich ethnic flavor of Miao culture.

Rural Cultural Tourism Festival

Dates: September 30th - October 5th

Venue: Guandu Community Rural Complex

Featuring traditional opera performances, experiencing farming culture, exhibiting agricultural products, fishing in paddy fields, and joining rural concerts, the Rural Cultural Tourism Festival will perfectly capture the charm of rural rice field tourism.

The 6th Farmer's Harvest Festival

Dates: September 30th - October 6th

Venue: Hexi Organic Agriculture Demonstration Base

Engage in farming-themed activities such as autumn harvest skill competitions, organic fruit and vegetable picking, rice field harvesting experiences, and rice paddy photo opportunities. All of this awaits you in Hexi Village, Niulanjiang Town.
