The 19th China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair (hereinafter referred to as "ICIF") opened on June 7. 

As the 19th China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair (hereinafter referred to as "ICIF") opened on June 7, Yunnan made a wonderful appearance with the theme of "There is a Lifestyle Called Yunnan".

At the Yunnan exhibition area of the ICIF, a nearly lifelike presentation of people living in Yunnan was shown, allowing consumers to "immerse themselves" in the lifestyle called Yunnan: waiting for sunrise in Shangri-La, admiring the "Artist's Second Residence" in the morning, seeking the fragrance of tea and coffee in the mountains and ancient villages at noon, enjoying the peacefulness at the "Film and Television Paradise" in the afternoon, tasting Yunnan snacks hidden in the streets and alleys at dusk, listening to local folk music at sunset, and indulging in songs and dance at midnight. The Yunnan exhibition area selects 7 different time periods throughout a day to showcase Yunnan's beautiful landscapes, cultural customs, ethnic culture, and local specialties, leading visitors to experience the "lifestyle called Yunnan" and presenting a dynamic, united, ecological, open, and warm new image of Yunnan.

The Yunnan exhibition area of the ICIF was crowded with people. When stepping in here, visitors could see a high-definition screen at the top of the exhibition area formed an "L"-shaped sky screen, displaying the blue sky and white clouds of Yunnan. At the entrance to the exhibition area, an elegant peacock dance attracted many visitors. On the big screen, "Caiyun", the recommender of Yunnan, introduced Yunnan's cultural tourism "special surprises" to the world with her sweet voice in various languages.

The "Xu Xiake and Yunnan's Story" section set up in the exhibition area vividly narrates the story of Yunnan through the eyes of the famous Chinese traveler and geographer Xu Xiake. The exhibition area also fully restores a scene from the hit drama Meet Yourself. Many visitors stop here to enjoy tea and take pictures.

It is reported that 32 outstanding cultural enterprises from Yunnan will collectively showcase their exquisite cultural and creative products, including excellent intangible cultural heritage works such as Yi embroidery, Tile Cat, and Purple Pottery, as well as Yunnan specialties such as tea, coffee and fruit.

"Since the first time I participated in the ICIF in 2013, I have attended every year and each time, the experience has been different. This year's venue and exhibition area are quite unique. My customers have expressed their desire to buy as soon as they arrive," Jin Yongshu said with a smile, chairman of the Chuxiong Yi Family Commune Ethnic Culture Development Co., Ltd..

"Shenzhen is a city that values innovation. Our products can only meet market demand and win consumer favor if we focus on innovation. Yunnan has unique ethnic culture, which provides us with an endless source of inspiration for innovation," Jin Yongshu picked up a notebook and said, "This is our 'Lvyuxianzong' (Green Feather Fairy Tale) notebook. Don't underestimate it. It combines Yi embroidery with Chuxiong's green peacock elements, uses cowhide paper for the inner pages, and is accompanied by relevant introductions to the green peacock. Although the price is not low, it is still very popular in the market."

Jin Yongshu is a Yi woman from mountainous area of Chuxiong. Over the years, she has "embroidered" her own wonderful life with a small embroidery needle. She leads her company to find a good combination of traditional culture and modern aesthetics, producing unique embroidery and related cultural and creative products with exquisite patterns and rich connotations. In recent years, she has participated in more than 70 domestic and international exhibitions and exhibited tens of thousands of Yi embroidery works, helping Yi embroidery products to go out of Yunnan and into the world.

"10 years ago at the ICIF, for the first time, my products went out of the mountains and out of Chuxiong and gained popularity here." Standing in front of a booth full of dazzling products, Jin Yongshu said hopefully, "This time I brought more than 600 products from more than 30 types of series, such as 'Fulaiyunwang' and 'Lvyuxianzong'. I hope to further enhance our visibility at the fair, open up our sales channels, and create a better life for our Yi embroiderers."

Zhang Xiaocheng, general manager of Jianshui Taoyuan Sanjie Zitao Culture Co., Ltd., also have the same dream. His booth is filled with various shaped purple pottery products. This young man successfully developed the "World's Largest Purple Pottery Steamer" in 2013, which was certified by the Guinness headquarters in Shanghai. He hopes to further expand the influence of Jianshui purple pottery and meet more distributors at the fair.

It is reported that the ICIF will continue until June 11. During this period, Yunnan and Shenzhen media jointly launched the "When Yunnan's Wind Blows to Shenzhen - Bringing You a Cultural and Creative Gift from Yunnan" online interactive activity. Shenzhen citizens who participate in the online interaction, leaving messages and likes, can receive Yunnan cultural and creative products, flowers, tea, coffee and other gifts at the scene.
