With faltering footsteps and a familiar megaphone, teacher Zhang Guimei accompanies her students into the exam room for the 13th time as the 2023 National College Entrance Examination officially begins. Despite her age of 66, she hopes with all her heart that the students can achieve good results and "fly" out of the mountains.

Because she has been through hardships herself, she always wants to help others overcome difficulties and make their lives better. Every year during the college entrance examination season, despite suffering from 23 different ailments, Zhang Guimei endures her pain and insists on accompanying the students to the exam site and staying there until they finish. Over the years, she has helped more than 2,000 girls fulfill their dreams, enabling them to leave the remote mountainous areas, attend universities, and thus change their lives.
