It's time to enjoy a wild mushroom feast

With recent rain creating ideal conditions for wild mushrooms to pop up in Yunnan, reporters found that the price of wild mushrooms goes on a downhill path. For example, the price of lurid bolete fell from 1000-2000 yuan per kilogram last week to 100-400 yuan per kilogram these days.
More and more edible wild mushrooms of different varieties are sold in Yunnan Mushuihua Edible Wild Mushroom Market. Ma Minghai, a shop owner, introduced that Huanglaitou, a type of mushroom, was transported from Jinghong City, Xishuangbanna. Its price drastically went down from 800 or 900 yuan per kilogram to 200 per kilogram.
Ma said Yunnan Mushuihua Edible Wild Mushroom Market is like a trading centre of wild mushrooms. All kinds of wild mushrooms are transported here and then distributed to markets in Kunming. As for them, there are always a large number of wild mushrooms placed in cold storage when wild mushrooms come into the market in large quantities. In this way, they can provide fresh wild mushrooms to restaurants when the wild mushroom season is over.
Wang Changshui has been selling wild mushrooms in the market for more than 20 years. There are artificially cultivated morchella esculenta, wild Morchella esculenta, and schizophyllum commune. "The artificially cultivated morchella esculenta comes from Jianchuan and the wild ones from Shangri La," he said
"There are about 8 tons of wild mushrooms on the market on May 24th." According to the staff of Yunnan Mushuihua Edible Wild Mushroom Market, these wild mushrooms come from different places, such as boletus from Simao, matsutake produced in Shangri-La, cantharellus cibarius mainly from Sichuan, and so on.
