Wild mushroom eating season is coming as the rainy season in Kunming starts. Kunming Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences and Yunnan Key Laboratory for Fungal Diversity and Green Development have jointly updated the map of Yunnan Poisonous Mushrooms.
The two updated maps include a total of 24 common Yunnan poisonous mushrooms.
Those who have dizziness, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, irritability or other discomforts after eating mushrooms for 10 minutes to 72 hours, can first take self-rescue measure by vomiting, then should seek medical treatment immediately.
Regardless of the severity of symptoms, all diners at the same meal should immediately go to a nearby hospital for observation and diagnosis.
Go to regular hospitals for treatment immediately after poisoning, and it is best to take the mushrooms you ate before to make effective treatments.
Cooking and eating wild mushrooms, these matters should be noticed.

1. A mushroom that has cap, skirt and volva is usually toxic. Don’t eat it.
2. Don’t eat mushrooms that can not easily be identified.
3. It is better not to eat different types of mushrooms at once. Accidentally eating several toadstools at the same time will increase the harm to the human body and the difficulty of medical treatment.
4. Don’t trust the so-called “folk method” to tell if a mushroom is poisonous. There is no scientific basis to judge whether the mushroom is poisonous by its color, juice or the maggots on it.
5. Mushrooms must be cooked thoroughly.
6. Eating mushrooms is best without drinking alcohol. Alcohol may promote the absorption of toxins and may react with mushrooms to produce new toxins.
7. Poisoning requires immediate medical attention.
