Jiaozi Snow Mountain, located at Luquan County, north of Kunming, has attracted a large number of tourists, about 6,000 a day.

After Major Snow (the 21st solar term of the year), there have been several rimes and snowfalls in Jiaozi Snow Mountain, indicating that the scenic spot ushered in the tourism peak season. Beautiful ice scenery, such as snow-capped fir forest and ice fall, has attracted tourists from all over the country. Although the snow is not that thick right now, but it’s enough for Kunming people who can barely see snow all the year around to enjoy themselves. The best season to enjoy snow scene in Jiaozi Snow Mountain starts from new year around and will last until the Spring Festival. 

Located at the junction of Luquan County and Dongchuan District, Jiaozi Snow Mountain got its name because the shape of its summit looks like a bride's sedan. The altitude of its main peak reaches 4,223 meters, which makes it the highest mountain in Central Yunnan Province. It was established as a national nature reserve in 2011. The unique vertical climate and rich biodiversity give it the reputation called “travel four seasons in one day one mountain”. Snowscape in winter and azaleas in spring are the most magnificent views here.
