Old Kunming Library of Miscellaneous Books, the first miscellaneous books library in Kunming, reopened on Oct. 31.

Old Kunming Library of Miscellaneous Books was established at Daguan Creative Culture Base in november 2020 and moved to Longquan Old Town Cultural Research Institute in july this year. The library has more than 30,000 volumes and covers a wide range, including books from the early 1900s to the 1990s, folk talks, archives, newspapers, magazines, and a number of books, letters, manuscripts and badges related to Southwest Associated University.

Old Kunming Library of Miscellaneous Books will collaborate with cultural research institute that study old Beijing,old Shanghai, old Chengdu and so on. It intends to spread culture of Kunming to every corner of the world so that people from all over the world are able to know about Kunming and fall in love with the city. With a collection of more than 30,000 books and 2,000 old objects, the library aims at passing on culture and recording the pass of the time. The library is open for free from Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 17:00 and people can only consult books in the library but not able to borrow them.
