Glowing mushroom? Yes, you heard it right. Such a magical and dreamlike scene appears in Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden recently. The staff found and photographed several rare clusters of luminous mushrooms in the garden. These small, milky mushrooms look ordinary during the day, but glow green at night.
In fungal world, there are some mushrooms that glow in the dark or at night in different colors, such as light blue, light green, and silvery white. They are called luminous mushrooms. A photographer photographed the mushrooms at Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden several years ago, and the rare mushrooms have been attracting tourists and photographers every year ever since. But not everyone can see the glowing mushrooms, as their brightness and durability are limited by the temperature and moisture of the environment, as well as by the nutritional and aging conditions of the mushrooms themselves.
