Ancient Dian Town kicked off a series of Spring Festival activities

The Luoyang peony exhibition has opened in the wetland park of Ancient Dian Town in Kunming on February 6th, kicking off a series of Spring Festival activities which will last from February 6th to Februray 28th.
More than 40 species of nearly 10,000 peonies displayed in the exhibition were all imported from Luoyang city, which is the traditional origin of peony.
Three major flower appreciation areas are arranged and located in the square, ticket hall of wharf and ring corridor of the wetland park. While appreciating the flowers, visitors can also learn more about the peony, peony poems and Chinese culture.
Apart from peony exhibition, Ancient Dian Town will provide drum dances from February 12th to the end of this month, which are full of traditional Chinese culture and ethnic features.
Lion dance is an essential element of Chinese Lunar New Year, therefore Ancient Dian Town invites a Guangxi performance group that is highly skilled at it and have won many awards at home and abroad to dance in the wetland park and Happy World.
In addition, a new year concert will be provided in the hot spring resort of Ancient Dian Town by Xiao Ruiguang, a chamber prima violinist from Nie Er Symphony Orchestra, and provincial famous violin groups during the first seven days of New Year.
