General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee To Lam arrived in Indonesia on Sunday to begin a three-day state visit aimed at strengthening bilateral relations.
The visit, which will last from Sunday to Tuesday, was made at the invitation of Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto and coincides with the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Indonesia and Vietnam.
To Lam landed at Halim Perdanakusuma Airport in Jakarta at approximately 1:15 p.m., where he was welcomed by Indonesia's Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries Sakti Wahyu Trenggono and Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung.
On Monday, To Lam is scheduled to meet with Prabowo to discuss potential cooperation opportunities that could further elevate bilateral relations.
