Horse racing in Shangri-La to celebrate Dragon Boat Festival
Under the blue sky and white clouds, dust was stirred up by galloping horses, with the sound of cheering and shouting filling the racecourse. Horse racing at Dragon Boat Festival is a traditional festival celebrated by all the people in Shangri-La. On June 22nd, 2023 Dragon Boat Horse Racing Festival in Shangri-La, Diqing, kicked off at Shangri-La Nationalities Sports Center in Shangri-La City of Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture. People of all ethnic groups dressed in traditional costumes set tents around the racetracks to cheer up horse racers.
