The yangmei from Fumin is known for superior quality and early ripening. As the early-maturing varieties of yangmei can be picked as early as the beginning of May. The harvest period is long, and due to the adjustment of varieties and planting altitude, the supply period can be extended to mid-June at the latest. Therefore, it is deeply favored by a large number of consumers and marketers. In addition to being sold within the province, a considerable amount of yangmei are exported to Zhejiang, Shanghai, Chongqing, and other places every year. This not only drives the catering and accommodation industries in Fumin, extends the industrial chain, but also makes Fumin a veritable hometown of yangmei.
