On October 8, Guo Liming, a member of Kunming Ornithological Society, found a flock of black-headed gulls floating on Dianchi Lake. This is the first batch of the gulls flying back to Kunming. The gull-watching season is about to begin.
“There are about 200 gulls, we took some pictures. They may be the gulls passing by, but anyway, the spearhead arrived.” said Wang Zhibin, deputy secretary general of the Kunming Ornithological Association.
Wang introduced that the gulls will come in batches, and when they reach a certain number, they will come ashore to feed.
Last year, the spearhead of gulls also came at this time. The gulls will fly to Dianchi Lake in mid-October in general, and fly to city center in early November. From November, people in Kunming will be able to meet with these elves and feed them.
