Most of black-headed gulls will depart from Kunming in late March. [Provided to InKunming]

[InKunming--Kunming]  Since 1984, black-headed gulls have spent winters in Kunming for 29 years.

Black-headed gulls are seemed as gifts that God presented to Kunming people. In each winter over the past dozen years, Kunming people would like to write poems, draw pictures, take photos or perform dances to celebrate the coming of black-headed gulls.

Black-headed gulls fulfilled Kunming people's lives within the 29 years. Figures of the gulls had been blended into all ordinary people's hearts in Kunming.

Spring season comes to Kunming as it would in the past. Time approaches for black-headed gulls to return their home.

Now, it is in late March. Most of black-head gulls have begun to depart from Kunming. After those gull elves flew away one by one from Kunming, the sky in the city look a little dull.

People who feel reluctant to say goodbye to the black-headed gulls had better seize the day to feed them in recent days. They shall fly over 3,000 kilometers to reach their homes.

If you do not go to say goodbye to them on this occasion, you could only see them in next winter. Let us hope to meet them soon.
