Series of image showing a male pheasant-tailed jacana meticulously taking care of its chicks have been captured at a wetland park in Baoshan City, southwest China's Yunnan Province. In the world of jacana, a female may mate with up to ten males a year. As soon as the eggs are laid, they may fly away in search of the next mating partner.

Males, on the other hand, undertakes the sole responsibility of caring the young, from nest building, constant guarding of the eggs to feeding the chicks. Whenever the male leaves the nest, it carries the chicks and tucks them under its wings, with the legs dangling near its belly. Watch the video to find out more about the bird's breeding techniques.
