2022 China International Travel Mart to kick off on Jul. 22

The 2022 China International Travel Mart (CITM) will be held from July 22 to 24 in Kunming Dianchi International Convention and Exhibition Center.

Housing some 2,500 booths in an exhibition area covering 70,000 square meters, this fair features rich content and diverse exhibiting methods. Exhibitors from more than 70 countries and regions are expected to participate in online or offline. More than 200 culture and tourism-related institutions and enterprises across China will take part as well.

More than 10 exhibition areas, including culture and tourism image exhibition area, consumption exhibition area and enterprise exhibition area, culture and expo exhibition area, smart tourism exhibition area and overseas tourism exhibition area, will be set up at the fair spot. This exhibition will display new cultural and tourism products in the form of “online exhibition + live broadcast + online negotiation”, so that the public can enjoy a cloud-trip of different places. 

During the three-day exhibition, a host of activities will be launched including the promotion meeting of Lancang Mekong countries, the international tourism exchange and cooperation development forum under the framework of RCEP, the China-Laos railway summit forum for promoting the construction of a community of shared future in Asia, the Yunnan culture and tourism promotion meeting, the smart tourism innovation and development forum, etc. At present all the preparatory work is proceeding well.

On the basis of summarizing the experience gained in the successful previous fairs, this fair focuses on exploring new trends and opportunities in the tourism industry given the current situation, featuring "five distinctive highlights" and striving to achieve fruitful results.

First, the smart tourism innovation and development forum will be held to contribute great solutions to the high-quality development of tourism.

Second, there will be international tourism destination exhibition areas, national theme exhibition areas, culture and expo exhibition areas, and IP tourism product exhibition areas to present the booth, products, service experience in one scene, enhancing the experience of buyers and the public to facilitate product transactions.

Third, there will be not only exhibitions, but also the forums and conferences. Each conference well combines the theme with the exhibition.

Fourth, while integrating online and offline, it will break through the limitations of time and space, promote online free communication and negotiation so that buyers from all over the world can get the first hand information by instant messaging.

Fifth, the fair will firstly include a special zone for museums, such as the Palace Museum and the National Museum of China, to showcase traditional Chinese culture and the country's efforts in the cultural heritage protection.
