When we talk about winter, the snow and ice always come to our mind. But that’s not the same to Yunnan. The special geographical location and landform have brought mysterious and complex climate to Yunnan. Even in winter, here shows four seasons’ sceneries.

The sunlight shines everywhere. Under the blue sky, the black-headed seagulls are dancing over the Dianchi Lake and Cuihu Park. People coming here to feed and to take photos with them, formed a picture of harmony between human and black-headed seagulls.

The blue sky is reflected in the crystal clear lake at Yilong Lake of Shiping County. Walking through the bridge, you can feel the warmth of sunlight in winter.

Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture has long summer and no winter. The year is only divided into rainy and dry seasons. In recent years, the Jinuo mountain village has changed a lot. People live in new houses while trucks drive on flat roads. In Xishuangbanna Dai garden, people gathered to celebrate the water splashing festival, bringing their bless to each other.

When night falls, Gaozhuang of Xishuangbanna is full of vitality. People come to the Mekong Starlight Night Market for shopping and strolling.

The yellow ginkgo leaves make Yunnan’s winter still like autumn. In Yunnan Normal University, students walking along the gingko avenue, some of them may stop to watch and take photos. The time here is peaceful and comfortable.

Recently, the Metasequoia Wetland in Kunming could be appreciated, clear water reflecting the forest, rich colors like painter’s palette.

When we turned to Dashanbao Black Necked Crane National Nature Reserve in Zhaotong, northeast of Yunnan Province, the black necked cranes have already arrived as usual. The snow has made this place a white world. Besides black necked cranes, there are nearly 40 species of migratory birds arrived Dashanbao. They all will go through the winter here.
