Yunnan resumes cross-province tours today

Yunnan has partly resumed cross-province tourist services on September 15, according to a notice issued by local travel authorties on the same day.

As the medium and high risk areas for Covid control no longer exist in Yunnan, travel agencies and online tourist firms in the province can resume operations of cross-province group tours, said the Yunnan Provincial Deparment of Culture and Tourism.
“While recovering the tourism market, related parties should continue to do a good job in prevention of the pandemic,” added the notice.
The ducument also stressed that cross-province tours to and from the provinces with medium or high risk areas are still not allowed.
Cross-province tours in the province were suspended on August 5 due to Covid outbreaks in border areas.
