In Kunming, the taste of spring is able to be found in a marvelous market, Daguan Zhuanxin Market. It has not only Kuci flower, Tangli flower, Chinese toon and other edible potherb for spring, but also cherry, waxberry, mulberry and plenty of fresh fruits.

“I’ve been selling seasonal fruits for more than 10 years, and today is the first day to sell cherries. The price is a bit expensive now, about 75 yuan per kilogram.” Said Ms. Tang, who is a vendor in Zhuanxin Market. She only sells cherries from Sichuan for now, which are sour and sweet. More local cherries will be on the market in three or four days and will be cheaper then. 

Fresh waxberries are in season as well, about 40 yuan per kilogram. A vendor introduced that the waxberries have been sold for several days. Although the price is a little expensive, the sales are not bad as many people are willing to buy it. It is expected to be available in large quantities in a few days and will be cheaper later. 

Mulberries with the price of 15 yuan per kilogram also come into the market. Now is the best time to buy some because the price is the cheapest of the year. According to a vendor, the mulberries will be scarce in a week due to the hot weather.
