-3℃! Kunming embraces first snow this winter

On December 5, Kunming people woke up to subfreezing temperature as the temperatur dropped sharply with the lowest being minus 3 degrees Celsius. Kunming experienced the first snow this winter while other places in Yunnan were already covered in white.

There were snowfall in the main urban area this morning, especially around Xiaozhuang interchange, Jiaochang interchange and Guannan interchange.

Kunming has issued an alert for icy roads. Citizens need to beware of health problems and travel safety. Other places in Yunnan also saw snowfalls, such as Qujing and Chuxiong.

At the afternoon on December 4, Huize county of Qujing city ushered in boundless snowflakes. Trees on mountains even were covered with rime. According to staff of Huize Dahaizaoshan scenic spot, the resort is expected to open in mid-December.
