Yunnan Nationalities Orchestra will perform two concerts in Kunming Theatre at 8:00 p.m. on November 8 and 9. The concerts will include 11 wonderful performances with ethnic and cultural characteristics.

The concerts are planned by Yunnan Nationalities Orchestra, which gathers various outstanding performers in Yunnan Province. They are making efforts to well integrate traditional music with ethnic music by using representative Yunnan ethnic musical instruments, such as Hulusi, Xiaoerhu, etc..

All the performances to stage in the concerts will be carefully arranged, making artists’ talents best utilized. It is said that audience can learn more about Yunnan ethnic cultural music by attending the concerts.

Since its establishment in 2011, Yunnan Nationalities Orchestra has strived to promote and develop Yunnan ethnic music, and becomes the highest level professional nationalities orchestra in Yunnan province currently. In addition to undertaking kinds of performances, the orchestra also endeavors to protect and inherit Yunnan ethnic minority music. Until now, they have visited and performed in 30 countries and regions in Europe, America, Asia, Africa, etc.
