Yunnan’s Longjiang township organized a “fish festival” within several villages. Farmers raise fishes in paddy field to improve the harvest. When autumn comes, the fishes grow up and are ready to be caught. Villagers and visitors come to Baoshan’s Longling county to catch and eat fishes. During the festival, various activities provide tourists with a chance to enjoy rural life and experience the joy of harvest.

Known as “land of fish and rice”, Longjiang township has a rice planting area of more than 18,000 mu every year, and the fish raised in the field can reach dozens of tons.

In recent years, Longling county has made great efforts to develop traditional industries and accelerate the integration of ecological tourism cultural resources. Since 2016, “fish festival” have been held three times which has effectively driven the local to increase income and enhance their living standards.
