[InKunming--Sister Cities] Visitors to Xishuangbanna Dai autonomous prefecture in Southwest China’s Yunnan province now are able to experience the cultures of China, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam in one place, as the Mekong 6-country Water Market opened recently.

The Mekong River, known as the Lancang River at the Chinese stretch, runs through China, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam, and is an important waterway for transnational shipping.
