A 64-year-old Nepali woman was rescued alive Saturday in Nuwakot district 10 days after the deadly mudslide on Aug 26, local media reported.
After initial treatment, the woman will be transferred to the capital, Kathmandu, for further treatment, according to the media.
According to the latest details released by the Nepal police, as many as 1,344 bodies had been recovered by 5 am local time Saturday. Police said 4,898 people remained out of contact as of Saturday morning, and 8,631 people have been rescued.
