A new travel option for island getaways! According to reporters from Kaiping News, starting February 2nd, Sunan Ruili Airlines will launch a direct flight route from Kunming to Phu Quoc Island, Vietnam. The service will operate three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, thoughtfully designed to meet travelers' demand for efficient use of their vacation time. With a flight duration of under three hours, the route enables a seamless "workday departure, arrival at pristine white beaches by morning" weekend micro-vacation experience.

Phu Quoc Island is Vietnam's only tropical destination offering a 30-day visa-free entry for holders of ordinary Chinese passports. As an emerging island resort hotspot, it boasts not only golden sands and sunny skies but also diverse integrated tourism facilities. In the northern part of the island, visitors can explore a cluster of theme parks—such as Vinpearl Safari, VinWonders Phu Quoc, and Grand World Phu Quoc—plus the mysterious Starfish Beach.

In the south, travelers can ride the world's longest sea-crossing cable car, enjoying panoramic views of scattered islands and breathtaking coastal scenery. They can also climb the red-brick clock tower to take in the Mediterranean-style town, a vibrant maze of colorful villas. Meanwhile, the island's central region pulses with local life—especially the bustling Yang Dong Night Market, where visitors can savor authentic Vietnamese cuisine and fresh seafood grills.
With this new route launching just before Chinese New Year, it provides a highly competitive and convenient option for outbound travelers seeking visa-free island escapes.
