During the opening of the First Meeting of the 21st Session of the Legislative Council, the Sultan emphasized the importance of enhancing human capital development and national capabilities in the new global technological revolution.
Brunei is a Southeast Asian country with beautiful natural scenery and rich oil and gas resources.
The Sultanate has been committed to promoting economic transformation and diversification, focusing on the development of sectors such as downstream oil, tourism, international trade, and high-tech advancements.
Brunei's Gross Domestic Product in the non-oil and gas sector has achieved an average annual growth rate of 4.3 percent from 2017 to 2023, contributing to the export of national goods from Brunei to new markets.
