The year 2025 marks the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Thailand, a golden milestone in their friendship and a new starting point for bilateral ties. To commemorate this special occasion and welcome the Year of the Snake, the "Golden Snake 'Joy' Reunion: China-Thailand Friendship Golden 50 Years • Snake Year Spring Festival Musical Gala" will be held on January 17, 2025, at 7:00 PM at Central World in Bangkok, Thailand. The event is part of the "One River, One Family" Spring Festival Cultural Exchange in Laos and Thailand series.

This grand celebration is co-hosted by the Publicity Department of the CPC Yunnan Provincial Committee and the Thai Journalists Association, and is jointly organized by Yunnan Media Group, Yunnan Daily Press Group, the China International Communications Group (CICG) Asia-Pacific, the Yunnan International Communication Center for South and Southeast Asia (YICC), and Thailand's MCOT Public Company Limited. Bringing together artists and performers from both countries, the gala will showcase the vibrant cultural exchanges and mutual appreciation between China and Thailand, painting a heartwarming picture of "Chinese and Thais Come From the Same Family" "Celebrating the Reunion Year" through music and performance.

A stellar lineup of popular stars from China and Thailand, including Me You, Zom Marie, and Xiong Rulin, will grace the stage with heartfelt performances, weaving emotional connections through music. Thai idol groups "Perses" and "Aliz" will captivate the audience with dynamic singing and dancing, highlighting the unique allure of Thai pop culture. Renowned Chinese pianist Duan Jun will deliver an extraordinary fusion of classical Chinese opera and Western instruments, providing a fresh take on traditional Chinese aesthetics. Performances by the Cloud Music Ensemble and Siam Fantasy will merge ethnic instrumental music with traditional Thai dance dramas, creating a truly unique audio-visual experience. Adding to the excitement, Singaporean Chinese singer Bao Ya Gu will make a special appearance to premiere her festive single "Good Good Year" on the gala stage, uniting Chinese communities worldwide in celebration of the Lunar New Year with his joyful melody.
Moreover, this Snake Year Spring Festival Gala not only pays tribute to the golden 50 years of China-Thailand friendship, but also serves as an important platform for showcasing Yunnan's cultural heritage. Emerging singers from Yunnan, including Liu Yuechen, Na Ri, and Ming Xinjie, will collaborate with an ethnic street dance troupe to bring youthful energy and ethnic charm to life, passionately interpreting "A Lifestyle Called Yunnan."
