In Qujing city, Yunnan province, a new cable car carries students 550 meters from the bottom of the Nizhuhe Canyon to the Guanzhai Primary School at the top in just 30 minutes, a trip that used to take over three hours on foot.
The cable car was built as part of the development of the Nizhuhe Canyon Eco-Cultural Scenic Spot in 2022.
The students used to hike up cliffs and cross rivers to get to the school, but now the arduous journey has been replaced with an "aerial school bus" that gives them energy and enthusiasm for study as they soar above the canyon.
