The four-day Taste of Bangladesh Food Festival, featuring traditional dishes from various regions of Bangladesh, concluded here on Monday.
The festival attracted 62 stalls presenting diverse and traditional dishes such as Dhaka's Beauty Lassi, Lalbagh's Kacchi Biryani, Faizan-e-Madina's famous Boba Biryani, Bakarkhani, Bismillah Kabab.
During the opening ceremony, A.F. Hasan Arif, advisor to the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, said, "Our local culinary traditions hold significant history, depth, and stories. I deeply appreciate our culinary heritage and believe it will thrive in the future."
Bangladesh Tourism Board Chief Executive Officer Abu Tahir Muhammad Zaber said earlier that the festival aimed to sustainably promote Bangladesh's traditional regional cuisines, raise awareness about Bangladeshi food, expand gastronomy tourism, and showcase the diversity of regional dishes to both domestic and international visitors.
