The Badaling Great Wall scenic area has launched a sunrise trip for visitors wishing to experience the site in the early morning.

The trip will take 50 travelers at a time and lasts for about three hours. It is part of the scenic area's efforts to upgrade its travel experience, and follows the introduction of night tours of the section of the Great Wall in Yanqing district, northwest of Beijing.

A shuttle bus and funicular are available to visitors courtesy of the Badaling Culture and Tourism Group, which runs the scenic spot, with the bus leaving from the car park of the Badaling Double Tree by Hilton. According to the group, visitors will be able to watch the sun guild the contours of the Wall.

It has previously arranged seasonal activities such as appreciating flowers in spring, watching clouds in summer, viewing leaves in autumn, and enjoying the snow in winter. It has also come up with cultural and creative products, such as the recent ice cream with Great Wall motifs.
