Autumn Maple Season: The Beautiful “Maple” Scenery in Kunming Botanical Garden

As the autumn breeze blows and the maple leaves turn red, the maple landscape in Kunming Botanical Garden reaches its peak viewing period at the end of October. More than 700 Liquidambar formosana are planted along the maple avenue in the garden, and the maple leaves display a range of green, yellow, orange and red colours that glow in the sunlight. The maple forest is also interspersed with botanicals such as Platanus and Firmiana simplex and is like entering a colourful world of oil paintings.

According to reports, the theme for the 2024 maple season at Kunming Botanical Garden is "Maples like colourful brocades reflecting autumn splendour, leaves gracefully dancing in the enchanting sunset". Since the event began on October 15, it has attracted many residents and tourists to enjoy the maple leaves and collect autumn fruits. This year's maple season will last until December 31, during which the garden will host various themed educational activities, craft classes and science popularisation events. It will also offer limited-time cultural and creative products, autumn camping and afternoon tea packages, providing citizens and tourists with a diverse and rich autumn outing experience.
