On Sunday, Jiushi Art Museum in Shanghai announced its upcoming grand exhibition Splendor of the Sun and Moon. The exhibition will run from Oct 26 to Jan 12 and will feature about 60 artists from home and abroad, including masterpieces by Paul Cezanne, George Morandi, Georges Rouault, Kathe Kollwitz and Chu Teh-Chun.
Jointly hosted by the museum and the School of Philosophy Fudan University, the exhibition will be curated by Tongyan Runan. Focusing on the theme of the connections between heaven, Earth and humans, the exhibition explores the dialogue between philosophical ideas of East and West, as well as the diverse visual expressions.
