“After the autumn rain falls at night, the crispness of autumn arrives.” With the first red maple leaves fluttering in front of Fuli Palace at Kunming Botanical Garden, the maple leaf season is officially here. According to the Kunming Botanical Garden, the 2024 maple leaf season begins on October 15, and will run until December 31. During this time, the garden will host a series of educational activities, a limited cultural and creative exhibition and sale, autumn camping, and delightful afternoon tea sets, inviting citizens and visitors to participate.

According to reports, the Maple Avenue at Kunming Botanical Garden features over 700 maple trees, interspersed with plants like sycamore and bellflower. Currently, most of the maple trees are gradually transitioning from green to golden yellow and then slowly taking on shades of red, heralding the imminent arrival of a visual feast.

Walking along the wide Maple Avenue, the forest is colourful and the sunlight is mottled, creating a picture of autumn red maples that "autumn is better than spring".

This year's maple season, themed "Maples Like Colorful Brocade Reflecting Autumn Splendor, Leaves Dance in the Evening Glow," invites citizens and tourists to not only enjoy the maple views but also to participate in a variety of activities, including the 2024 themed study courses and handmade workshops, allowing them to experience the romantic atmosphere of autumn at Kunming Botanical Garden.
