Autumn's crucial harvest is in full swing in Heilongjiang province as farmers busy themselves among golden fields.
This year, the province has guaranteed a sown area of over 15.26 million hectares and seen an increase in the sown area of grain crops, particularly high-yield maize crops, according to the provincial department of agriculture and rural affairs.
The meteorological conditions favor agricultural production, with crops showing good overall growth and a promising harvest.
With a pristine ecology and one of the world's largest black soil zones, Heilongjiang leads the country in the amount of land devoted to planting rice, corn and soybeans and has the nation's highest annual yield.
In 2023, Heilongjiang saw its 20th consecutive bumper year, with a grain harvest of more than 77.88 million metric tons.
