From 10th to 18th August, themed on "Ca fan er, Fei dian bu ke", the Dianchi East Coast International Coffee Culture Carnival, a vibrant celebration of coffee and culture will be held on the East Bank of Dianchi in Kunming, Kunming Park 1903 and Xishan Scenic Area.

The carnival highlights six major thematic events including a Guinness World Records™ attempt for the largest coffee-tasting party. The festival will feature unique experiences such as a coffee open mic, an international mobile art show, and a collaboration between Southeast Asian Michelin-starred chefs and their international counterparts for a mushroom feast.

Key activities include the CTI Latte Art Duel, a high-profile competition attracting coffee enthusiasts and professionals, set against the backdrop of the picturesque East Bank. In addition, a series of concerts will enhance the festive atmosphere, with performances ranging from jazz to Asian music, featuring noted artists such as Hu Defu.

I.Challenge for the Guinness World RecordsTM title - The Largest Coffee Tasting Party

Time:10 August (Saturday) 13:00-16:00

Venue:East Bank of Dianchi (Dianchi Tourism Golden Shoreline - along the Caohai Greenway)

Content: On Tanabata Day, recruit challengers for the community, challenge the Guinness Book of World RecordsTM title and participate in the largest coffee tasting party. The party gives priority to inviting couples to participate and complete a feat on the golden coast of Dianchi Tourism, and participants of the challenge will receive certificates of honour from the organisers.

2. CTI Latte Art Duel Kunming Station

Time: 17th August (Saturday) - 18th August (Sunday)

Venue: East bank of Dianchi Lake (Dianchi Lake Tourism Golden Shoreline - Caohai Greenway along Jindi Yunhai No. 1 Listening to the Sea Centre)

Content: CTI Latte Art Duel Kunming along the Caohai Greenway on the east shore of Dianchi Lake. The competition will be free and open to tourists throughout the competition, and the competition, performance and sharing sessions will provide a high-level, high-quality competition for tourists. A coffee-sharing session will be organised, inviting renowned international coffee judges and professionals to share their fantastic coffee stories with visitors.

Content: August 10, the East Bank - back to the scene - Jazz Kunming (2nd) music performance; August 11, invited "the father of Taiwanese folk songs" Hu Defu, Sound Toys Band and other musicians in the Dianchi Tourism Golden Shoreline beautiful scene, held a high-quality concert; August 17, the East Bank - back to the scene - the sound of Asian music performance; August 18 will be invited to the River Band and guests Lao Wolf to present a beautiful and healing concert for tourists.

4. Experience the "fan scene" theme: Twelve

Coffee culture-themed flash shops&hundreds of coffee carts

Time: August 10 (Saturday) - August 18 (Sunday)

Location: East bank of Dianchi (Dianchi Tourism Golden Shoreline - along the Caohai Greenway)

Content: Coffee-themed days along the Dianchi Greenway. Create 12  coffee culture theme space with coffee and art/literature/video/poetry/music/books/sports and other elements, recruit 100 theme coffee cars, "coffee" as a medium, and show Kunming fashion lifestyle.

5. "Walking Coffee" Roadshow - Original Highway

Art Scene

Time: 10th (Sat)-11th (Sun) August, 17th (Sat)-18th (Sun) August (more times to be announced after confirmation)

Location: East bank of Dianchi (Dianchi Tourism Golden Shoreline - along the Caohai Greenway)

Content: To create an "international idyllic style" art scene along the Caohai Greenway on the east bank of Dianchi Lake and to make tourists feel that "there is a way of life called Yunnan" along the golden shoreline of Dianchi Lake Tourism with a roadshow that blends East and West, has the fusion of nationalities and the world, and expresses internationalisation.

6. "Fei bi xun chang" series of activities

Time: 10-18 August

Place: Dianchi East Bank (Dianchi Tourism Golden Shoreline - along the Caohai Greenway), Park 1903

Content: Organise international mobile art performances, open mic activities, invite Southeast Asian Michelin chefs and international chefs to create mushroom feasts. From 12 to 16 August, organise international car enthusiasts' KM cycling tour & "Six Golden Tourism Routes", organise 1,000 drones Dianhai high altitude show on 11 August. On August 17 and 18, "Coffee and Art" event was set up in 1903 Park to organise and carry out activities such as coffee and art theme exhibitions, coffee culture carnival party, etc., to tell a good story of Kunming through coffee.
