Napahai Lake, meaning the lake behind the forest,
undergoes seasonal changes as a “winter lake and summer meadow.”
Not far from Shangri-La city, traveling along the Lakeside Road,
one can encounter yaks, the highland “boats.”
Here, grasslands merge with lakes, and the lake water reflects the deep blue sky,
resembling a tranquil and simple countryside from a fairy tale.
Amidst the ethereal white clouds, migratory birds return,
snow-capped mountains stand tall, and the interplay of light and clouds graces the sky.
Villagers lead short-legged horses, cradling little lambs on the grassland,
while listening to stories about Napahai Lake from Brother Zhaxi.
The botanical garden offers the best vantage point to overlook the village
and the entire expanse of grassland and lake.
The lake water is crystal clear, resembling a mirror adorned by nature.
For a moment, one may lose track of whether the sky and earth have reversed.
Zhaxi's mysterious stories seem to have no end.
With the changing of time, the lake water will eventually cover the road markers.
Napahai Lake is forever changing, and new stories are on the way.
The lake of time can only keep up with change through change itself.
