The 9th Silk Road International Arts Festival opened on Sunday in Xi'an in northwest China's Shaanxi Province, where it will run until Oct. 29.
Themed "A New Chapter of the Silk Road, Better Days of a Bright Future," the festival has attracted artists from over 90 countries and regions.
It consists of various events, including opening and closing ceremonies, shows and exhibitions.
