With colors of golden yellow, creamy white, and deep red, the colorful sunflower fields of Dianzhong Village in Wenquan Sub-district, Anning City, attract numerous tourists every year.
In June of this year, the villagers of Dianzhong Village began sowing colorful sunflowers. With over 200 mu of sunflowers, there are 8 to 9 different varieties. When in full bloom, the flowers display a mesmerizing landscape of colors, creating a spectacular sight. The blooming sunflowers have drawn many visitors seeking to capture the moment.

Here, there are also colorful rice fields, with the earth as the canvas and rice as the brush. The designers have created a harmonious "countryside idyll" painting across the fields, adding to the enchantment of the landscape.
Tanglangchuan
Located in Wenquan Sub-district, Anning City, the Golden Tanglangchuan Scenic Area is home to nearly 100 mu of sunflowers.
Tanglangchuan is a tributary of the Jinsha River, stretching 252 kilometers in total, and is the only outlet of Dianchi Lake. Due to the extensive cultivation of rapeseed flowers and sunflowers, the landscape of Tanglangchuan is adorned in a golden hue, earning it the name "Golden Tanglang River."
Departing from Kunming and traveling west for over 40 kilometers, one can reach Tanglangchuan. The sunflowers start blooming in early August, reaching their peak in mid-month, with the blooming period generally lasting until the end of August.
Beita Village
Recently, dozens of acres of lotus flowers and sunflowers have bloomed in Beita Village of Wenquan Sub-district. The vivid colors displayed by nature in this small village have attracted a large number of tourists from near and far, bringing a lively atmosphere to the village.
It is understood that this sunflower sea belongs to the Hot Spring Town - "Gengyunli" in Beita Village. In recent years, Gengyunli has combined the natural landscape and agricultural characteristics of Beita Village, with green organic ecological farming as the core concept. Utilizing local native flora and fauna, as well as natural wetlands and other elements, they have created an agricultural planting area that is not only visually appealing and tourist-friendly but also suitable for experiential learning.
With the increasing popularity of Gengyunli, Beita Village has also welcomed more and more visitors. To provide better experiences for tourists, the village has continuously improved its infrastructure, such as roads and public toilets. Gengyunli has also upgraded the quality and environment of supporting areas such as dining and resting, and introduced innovative study programs.
Qinglongxia Zhaojiazhuang
In addition, don't miss out on the local farmhouse restaurants in Qinglongxia. There is a saying among the old residents of Anning: "Coming to Qinglongxia without dining at a farmhouse restaurant is as good as coming in vain." So after enjoying the flowers, find a cozy farmhouse restaurant nearby and have a satisfying meal. That way, your sunflower journey will be perfectly complete.
